Volunteers meeting in Bieszczady Mountains
Over the weekend of October 17–19, 2025, a working meeting of the volunteers of the Heureka Generator Association took place in Berezka, in the Bieszczady Mountains. During the meeting, our volunteers laid the foundation for an international youth exchange that we will implement in the first half of 2026.
A key part of the discussions focused on the topic of the youth exchange. The participants agreed that it is important for them to strengthen social bonds together with their peers from other countries — bonds that were disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic and still have negative consequences today.
We talked about the topics of the workshops, the logistics of the exchange, potential international partners, and the division of responsibilities. Importantly, we built on the experience gained from preparing our previous youth exchanges.
There was also time to reconnect with nature — we went on a hiking trip from Berezka to Polańczyk along one of the Bieszczady trails. The post-rainy terrain didn’t make it easy, but the Heurekians are not made of sugar.
